Health and Safety is of paramount importance to Acorn Scaffolding and we work hard to ensure our clients, employees and the public are as safe as possible. All scaffolders and labourers undertake vigorous training appropriate for their role, and all have the relevant qualifications before being allowed on a working site. We are regularly audited by various outside H&S specialists, meet their requirements and therefore carry their accreditations.
Qualifications
Acorn Scaffolding is approved by Somerset County Council for working on highways. This means we are licensed to erect scaffolding on pavements and roads, subject to an application being submtted.
CISRS
We believe in looking after our employees and their futures. Our operatives all hold CISRS cards ranging from Scaffolding Labourer (green card) up to Advanced Scaffolders (gold card).
Additional Training
In addition to CISRS training our employees undertake other training appropriate to their job role e.g. Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, First Aid, IPAF etc.
DBS
We use the DBS Checking service to ensure the safety of our clients and the public.
International Powered Access Federation Certification
IPAF training allows our scaffolders to operate powered access lifts for areas where traditional scaffolding will not do the job.
